SFGBA 2024 Season Safety Rules

SFGBA participants have an option to wear a well-fitted mask indoors and SFGBA will NOT ACCEPT adverse action against individuals who chose to wear a face covering to protect their health.

·         Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required.

·         As of February 2023, Mpox is no longer considered a public health emergency in the United Sates. SFGBA still encourages our players to get vaccinated:

Modes of transmission in prolonged conditions:

§  Skin to skin, even cuddling with a friend.

§  Sharing of bedding with someone infected.

§  Breathing, licking, kissing, sex-toy and towel sharing.


What are the symptoms what is an incubation period?

§  Some have reported fever, headache, and fatigue (flu-like),

§  1 to 3 days later, appearance of a rash or “blisters”

§  Rash may appear on the face, arms, legs, hands, feet, and genital and anal areas – the genital/anal rash appear to be very common during this outbreak.

§  It usually takes around 5 to 14 days after any exposure for symptoms to appear (the “incubation period”).

Drop-in vaccines for San Francisco residents who meet vaccine eligibility requirements:

Should I perform proper hand hygiene?

§  YES, SFGBA and the WORLD recommend you wash your hands often with soap and water. You may also use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Hand sanitizer is available for you at the front desk.
